The Department of Marketing of the Faculty of Applied Economics (University of Antwerp) will recruit a full-time

Pre-doctoral researcher / Ph.D. student

for a research project on
Customer co-creation: the nature and its impact during the innovation process of high tech services.
Promotor: Prof. Dr. Annouk Lievens.

Recent developments in information and communication technology (ICT) as well as the increasing digital nature of our society have led to new opportunities in customer integration during the innovation process. Innovation is a knowledge-based activity.
Using both qualitative (case study research) and quantitative research (survey & quasi-experimental research designs), we aim to investigate how customer involvement can contribute to knowledge creation and examine the impact of this customer co-created knowledge on the innovation performance of high tech services.

Profile:

Candidates should have:
an MA in (Applied) Economics, Business Administration or behavioral sciences;
an interest in marketing (services and innovation in particular) and a strong motivation to write a Ph.D. dissertation;
a strong academic record;
an excellent knowledge of English; a good knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

We offer:

An appointment as a full-time researcher in a stimulating research environment, starting as soon as possible (October 1, 2008 at the latest) until 30 June 2012.
