We have a postdoc position in the field of cryomultiplexing SQUID readout of TES and superconducting tunnel junction X-ray detector arrays for space applications. Background in the following fields is appreciated: design of novel detectors, SQUIDs and room temperature readout electronics, component and electronics fabrication, instrumentation and measurement control, and low temperature characterisation and measurements down to ~50 mK.
The task is for a fixed-term for the period 1 June 2008 - 31 May 2010.
You should have a PhD degree preferentially in experimental low temperature sensors/physics/engineering, mesoscopic physics or electronics design/fabrication.
